Welcome to Handyman.io. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Handyman.io mobile application ("App") and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Handyman.io is a home maintenance and repair assistance application that provides:

• AI-powered photo analysis for identifying tools, diagnosing repairs, and assessing project requirements
• An AI Expert chat feature for home maintenance guidance and repair advice
• Tool inventory management with photo-based identification
• Home maintenance tracking and scheduling
• Project documentation and repair history
• Professional contractor referral services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or security features
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the App
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload photos that contain inappropriate, illegal, or unrelated content
• Attempt to abuse or exploit the AI analysis features for purposes unrelated to home maintenance

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence, including Google Gemini AI, to analyze photos and provide home maintenance guidance. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies
• AI analysis should not be relied upon as professional advice
• You should always consult a qualified professional before undertaking significant repairs, especially those involving electrical, plumbing, structural, or gas systems
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content
• You assume all risk associated with acting on AI-generated recommendations

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is the property of Handyman.io and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The App and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We shall not be liable for any property damage, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from reliance on AI-generated content
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Handyman.io, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version within the App. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
